ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ FOR AL-yousifiya 1200- 1400 MW. TO BE DEVELOPED ON A (BOO) BASIS

The Ministry of Electricity of the Republic of Iraq (the “MOE”) hereby announces that it is issuing a request for proposal ( the “RFP”) in connection with a proposal it intends to launch for the development on a (BOO) basis Build, Own and operate of a 1200-1400MW electricity power plant in Al- yousifiya town southern of Baghdad Governorate.

Tender rules against non refundable amount of (500,00) five hundred thousand Iraqi Dinars to be paid against a receipt from the following address:

The Ministry of Electricity Headquarters, Al- Niqabat Street, Al- Mansour District, Baghdad, Iraq.

Interested parties should note the following:

• The MOE will enter into a power purchase contract with the winning bidder under which it will be responsible for providing fuels to the project company to operate the plant. The term of the power purchase contract will be 20 years.
• Further details are laid out in the (RFP).
• Authorized representative should have an authorized letter to buy the tender rules.
• Closing date on 11 May, 2016 at 12 pm Baghdad local time .

ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ FOR Operation and Maintenance ( O& M) of the following Gas Turbine Power plants (as an option) and TO BE DEVELOPED to Combined Cycle ON A (BOO) BASIS

 

The Ministry of Electricity of the Republic of Iraq (the “MOE”) hereby announces that it is issuing a request for proposal (the “FRP”) in connection with the following tenders NO., for the operation and maintenance of simple cycle Gas Turbine Power Projects (Remark as option) and to convert the plan … to combined cycle on a (BOO) basis Build, Own and operate.

Tender Rules against non refundable amount of (250,000) ID , two hundred fifty thousand Iraqi Dinar for each project to be paid against a receipt from the following address,

The Ministry of Electricity, Office of Investment  and contracts – Tenders section, Ministry of Electricity Headquarters, Al- Niqabat Street, Al- Mansour District, Baghdad, Iraq.

• MOE will enter into operation & maintenance contract for simple cycle power plant in case MOE will accept to award the proposal for simple cycle, which remarked as (option) and should be present by the bidder.
• MOE will enter into a power purchase contract winning bidder for the production of the steam turbine units only, on a (BOO) basis
• The term of the contracts will be 15 years from the commercial operation of the combined cycle power plant.

• Tender No. MOE-HQ-2016/12, Al- Haidariyah (4 x 125) MW Gas Turbine Power plant , closing date will be on Thursday 12.05.2016 before 12.00 pm Bagdad local time.
• Tender No. MOE-HQ-2016/13, Kirkuk (265 x 292) MW Gas Turbine Power plant , closing date will be on Sunday 15.05.2016 before 12.00 pm Bagdad local time.
• Tender No. MOE-HQ-2016/14, Kerbala (2 x 125) MW Gas Turbine Power plant , closing date will be on Tuesday 17.05.2016 before 12.00 pm Bagdad local time.
• Tender No. MOE-HQ-2016/15, New Najaf (2 x 125) MW Gas Turbine Power plant , closing date will be on Sunday 22.05.2016 before 12.00 pm Bagdad local time.

If the closing date is a holiday , the next day will be the closing date

• The bidders who award to him a tender will bear the announcement cost in the local news papers .

National Investment Commission delivers the first patch of units to the owners in Bismayah City Project 

Sun the 3^rd April 2016 was NIC first day to deliver the first patch of Bismayah 3000 units to registers during a ceremony attended by a number of Iraqi Parliament members, director generals and officials in the project site.

Dr. Al Araji, Chairman of the National Investment Commission mentioned in his speech difficulties and challenges that faced the project starting from the national housing project which was committed to achieve one million unit all over Iraq. NIC launched this project after the Ministry of Planning estimation of Iraq’s 2 million units’ need.

He said the beginning was Bismayah city project which represents a real partnership between investors, governmental banks and citizens. Registers paid the first 25% of the project value to the investor as an assuring initial provided paying 75% by Hanawah within 7 years to build 25 thousand units annually.

He confirmed that this start is a good one representing great efforts from relevant Iraqi ministries, the General Commission of Construction, specialized centers in Iraqi universities and Hanawah technical experience which saved no effort to move forward with this project.

He also added that an Iraqi- Korean committee was created to organize moving owners to their units starting next May.

Mr. Sun Kwan Yo, Hanawah representative, confirmed that the company will build Bismayah according to international standards and meet residents’ urban needs. He said the city shall be an example in the Middle East.

Keys were delivered to owners during the ceremony followed by a tour in the units and factories.

NIC will continue keys delivery to the rest of the owners starting Tus. The 5^th April 2016 according to time table that was published in NIC website and facebook 250-300 register a day for 10 days.
