Province of Babylon
Historical Background
Province of Babylon had been known as the
Capital of the Babylonians during the rule of
Hammurabi where the Babylonians ruled over
Mesopotamia. The first dynasty of the
Babylonians, ruled by Hammurabi (1792- 1750
B. C.) had ruled the majority of Mesopotamia
provinces.
This Province is one of the main areas known
for their agricultural production and it is rich in
historical sites. Its center is Hilla. The Province
has many investment opportunities among
which are the religious, archeological and cultural tourism, cattle, and agricultural
ones.
