Iraq Investment Map2020-2021
Monetary Policy
Monetary policy should control both the exchange rate and the rate of inflation. The
sudden fluctuations in exchange rates have a negative impact on the investment climate. It
makes it difficult to study the feasibility of projects and is subject to loss as well. The
inflation rate has an impact on the pricing policies and the volume of production and its
effect on production factors, the more the monetary policy is expansionary, the more
investment attracting it shall be. The monetary policy applied by the Central Bank of Iraq
continued to be stable, which led to the stability of the rate of inflation and interest, which
reflects positively on the investment climate in Iraq.
