Chairwoman of the National Investment Commission: Basra has the factors that make it a destination for investment

Chairwoman of the National Investment Commission, SuhaDaoud Najjar, confirmed that Basra Governorate enjoys the economic factors that make it a destination for investors, as it is characterized by a strategic location, mineral wealth and great human resources, which make it a fertile land for investment, as well as its need for investment projects in various sectors.

 

She mentioned this in an expanded press conference held in Friday 6th of Aug. 2021 during opening four investment projects in the industrial sector in Basra Governorate, indicating that projects in petrochemical industry shall contribute to the employment of manpower in the city and supply Basra market in particular and the Iraqi local market in general with standard specifications industrial products.

 

She referred to the National Investment Commission support, technically and administratively to all investment commissions in the governorates to encourage investment.

Chairwoman of the National Investment Commission arrived in Basra this morning, Friday, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Commission, where its two-day visit will witness a meeting with the heads of investment commissions in the provinces and participation in the International Investment Conference in Basra, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday.
