suggestions on how to accomplish such
goals.
Suggestions for Drafting an Investment
Contract
A well-drafted investment contract should
state what the parties want in a way that is
clear, that will be useful and practical,
especially as the project progresses, and
that will prevent future disputes between
the parties. Such an investment contract
should have the following features:
 User-friendly. It should have a table of
contents at the front, and every section
should have a heading that accurately
describes the section’s contents. It
should be physically presented to be
easy to read, using spacing, indentation,
punctuation and type fonts that help
achieve this goal.
 Define terms at start of the contract.
Defining terms can facilitate better
understanding of the contract and
assure that a defined concept is used
consistently throughout the contract.
However, there are certain points to
keep in mind when using defined terms,
including: the number of defined terms
should be kept to a minimum and they
should be concise; they should not be
used for terms which are used only
once in the contract or are used later in
the contract where they can be defined;
and they should contain definitions
